Louvre Saint-Honoré

Located at the heart of Paris in a storied building rehabilitated by architect Jean Nouvel that houses the new Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, this corporate canteen is part of one of the French’s capital’s most exceptional development projects in recent years, masterminded by the Société Foncière Lyonnaise. It is a restaurant that presents a thoroughly modern take on the traditional Parisian bistro. Its most striking element is a dramatic, abstract mural created with stone leaf printed with a stylized map of the surrounding district. A common thread throughout the 570 sqm space is the use of parallel lines, whether it be in the motif that faces service counters or the ribbing of the brushed-oak walls. A dialogue with the exterior is constantly present thanks to the deep green palette that references the gardens opposite and the accentuation of the building’s iconic arcade.
