Umami Collection
A collection that is not only an ode to alabaster, a natural material that embodies both fragility and strength, and spellbindingly filters light. It also pays homage to the Land of the Rising Sun and is based on the Japanese concept of Shun, the perfect moment when nature reaches its fullest expression. Its name, Umami, means “tasty, delicious flavour,” something that procures ultimate satisfaction. The aim of the various lighting designs is to follow suit. Their forms are sculptural, precise, perfectly proportioned. The light they diffuse is gentle, vibrant, meditative. Each fixture is unique, meticulously crafted from blocks of alabaster with individual vein patterns, and coupled with brushed beech wood for floor lights and medal bronze for sconces.
