Hôtel Radisson
The intention was to create an interior that is creative, poetic and whimsical. The public areas on the ground floor are theatrical and eye-catching, with graphic floor tiles arranged in a syncopated mosaic-like pattern, a sculptural reception desk that appears to levitate thanks to its mirrored base, and a bar whose rounded forms reference the rolling hills of the surrounding Champagne region. The guestrooms were conceived as havens of peace. A curved wall of curtains imbues a cocoon-like feel, while dark green tones add a subdued chic. The hotel is most notable, however, for the collaboration between Ana Moussinet and art curator Sylvie Castellani, who commissioned the French Catalonia and Los Angeles-based artist, Maia Flore, to create a series of photos especially for the hotel, depicting Reims’s iconic buildings and landmarks, which add a playful touch throughout.
