Cinéma 7 Batignolles

The studio’s work is often about confounding expectations, about bringing a new vision, and this seven-screen cinema operated by Pathé couldn’t be further from a traditional movie theatre. The brainchild of producer Djamel Bensalah, it features a seven-metre-high lobby that would not look out of place in a hotel. Everywhere you look, there are eye-catching elements, a striking statement chandelier finished in polished brass; sleek ticket machines made from resin; a psychedelic red and white corridor; and a family room with walls decorated with origami motifs and hidden animals. Movie-going becomes a truly immersive experience.
